この法人は、スポーツ診療や研究に携わる多領域の医療従事者やそれらに関心を持つ者が集まり、スポーツ障害をより科学的な面から追求し、事業活動を通じて、市民にとって有益なスポーツ診療の発展及び根拠に基づいた情報の発信を行い、研究成果を社会に広く啓発するとと同時にその医療を担う人材を育成することにより、この分野の医療・研究の指導的な役割をはたすことを目的とする。
