この法人は，地元・茨城・日本そして世界の子どもたちや平和・文化・教育に関心を有する人たちに対して，原爆ドーム前での絵画制作を含む芸術作品の製作・展示・鑑賞，また講演・広報・普及啓発などの活動を通して，命や平和の尊さを訴え，これを次世代に語り継ぎ，平和教育・文化芸術・社会教育の振興，および子どもたちの健全育成に寄与することを目的とする。
