この法人は、広く一般市民に対して、海岸・河川等の環境保全・美化活動の啓発及び推進に関する事業、マリンスポーツ教室の企画・運営に関する事業、地域住民同士の交流会・イベントの企画･開催に関する事業、海洋及び海洋生物についての知識向上を目的としたイベント･講演会等の企画・開催に関する事業、海岸･海上の安全及び海難事故の防止についての啓発及び推進に関する事業を行い、海の楽しさと大切さについての理解を促進し海洋環境の維持･発展を図り、もって広く公益に寄与することを目的とする。
