この法人は、腎臓、及び泌尿器科の疾患（以下、腎泌尿器科疾患とする）に関する診断、治療について、その知識を広く一般社会に周知させるため、また、診断、治療の一層の改善を図るため、腎泌尿器科疾患に関する啓発事業及び基礎、臨床研究等を行い、国民の健康増進に寄与することを目的とする。
