この法人は、傷病で苦しむ人あるいは薬の副作用などの被害にあった者へ、湯治に関する情報を発信し、湯治による健康の増進、社会復帰への支援を行い、地域社会と一体となり、湯治文化の継承、歴史教育、地域振興を図ることを目的とする。
