この法人は、大石田町において、里山を中心とした自然環境・歴史文化等の地域資源に関する事業等を行い、町内の豊かな自然環境を守るとともに、地域の人々にも理解と活動への参加を促すことにより、連帯を深め、ひいてはこの里山を守る活動が、災害からこの地域を守ることとなり、又、この活動を通して深まる人々の連帯が災害救援にも寄与することを目的とする。
