本会は、和太鼓をはじめとするわが国の伝統的な芸能に関する普及周知及び調査研究活動を行うとともに、不特定多数の市民・団体等を対象に助言又は支援、協力を行い、伝統文化の保存と伝承者の育成を推進し、もって社会教育、まちづくり、子どもの健全育成、文化振興等の公益の推進に寄与することを目的とする。
