この法人の目的は、障害の有無に関らず、すべての人々が生涯にわたって楽しめる各種スポーツ（アダプテッドスポーツ、ユニバーサルスポーツなど）の普及や振興に貢献するために、健康・体力づくりや社会参加を促進するための事業を行い、各種スポーツの普及や振興を通して、地域住民の健康・体力の増進とコミュニティの活性化に寄与し、年齢・性別・障害・職業などの区別なく、地域に根差した「共生社会」を実現することである。
