国際結婚支援事業の向上ならびに、国際結婚に関する正確な情報を公開する事により国際結婚の健全な発展に貢献するものとする。また、国際結婚に関する幅広い分野での交流活動を行うとともに、不特定多数の市民、団体等を対象に、国際結婚に関しての教育、交流、相談などの機会の提供を行い、国際結婚に対する正しい知識と見識を広め、社会教育の推進と人権の擁護、そして日本の国際化に貢献する事を目的とする。
