この法人は、東日本大震災の被災者、特に子どもたちを対象として、心のケア及び道徳教育の推進等の事業を行うことにより、被災地の持続可能な復興を実現すること、並びに国内外の多くの人々を対象として、上記の活動を通じて得られた被災者の体験談を伝え、被災地への長期的な支援と災害への対策の必要性を啓発する事業を行うことにより、我が国及び国際社会の健全な発展に寄与することを目的とする。
