この法人は、2012年「泳げる中海」を目指すとともに、中海の豊かな自然環境を街の活性化に活かし、さらに市民の憩いの場として中海との共生を日指し、そして市民にとって中海が郷土の象徴として誇れる存在となり、活力ある地域形成に寄与することを目的とする。
