この法人は、新型インフルエンザ(2009)での経験に鑑み、医療機関・教育機関・行政機関・消防機関等の有機的な連携により、最先端のＩＴを活用することで、地域での感染症の発生を早期に探知し早い対策につなげ、もって住民の健康と生命を守るシステムの、運用および人材育成をはかることを目的とする。
