この法人は、宮津に住まいする人々と宮津に関わる人々のために、地域の歴史や文化を継承することを啓発し、より快適な住生活、健康的かつ高齢者の元気と地域社会の活性化のため、伝統文化の伝承のための習得事業と後継者育成及び披露の事業、まちなみ保存に関する調査、企画立案の実施協力に関する事業を行い、地域の活性化に寄与することを目的とする。
