この法人は、高度な技術と豊富な経験を有する会員相互の協力により、ライフル射撃に関する幅広い分野で指導及び普及活動を行うとともに、不特定多数のアマチュアライフル射撃競技参加者・団体等を対象に、各競技大会の運営、主催、共催、後援を行い、スポーツ競技としてのライフル射撃の健全なる発達、品位向上、審判員・記録員といった人材の育成をも推進することにより、ライフル射撃全般に亘る振興を図り、県民のスポーツに対する関心や取り組みの裾野を拡げ、スポーツ全体の発展に寄与することを目的とする。
