この法人は、古くから農山村地域に伝わる暮らしの知恵や技術を大切にしながら、将来にわたり持続可能な、自然と生業のある農山村地域を次世代に継承するため、暮らし・生活、教育、環境保全、生業づくり、文化伝承、地域福祉に関する事業とそれらを統合した地域づくり活動等に係る事業を行うとともに、各活動を行う地域活動を支援し、もって地域社会および日本社会に暮らす人々全体の利益の増進に寄与することを目的とする。
