この法人は、日本国内の各地域住民に対して、室町時代に加賀の一向宗門徒らが築いた「百姓の持ちたる国」を題材として、映画化にむけた取り組みや講演活動等に関する事業を行うことで、日本のみならず世界において、地域の歴史への理解を広めるとともに、地域経済の発展に寄与することを目的とする。
